The free tier needs no account. Everything you create — beds, plants, placements and growing records — is stored only on your device, so there is nothing for us to delete and nothing to request.
To remove it, open Profile → Account → Delete local data, or uninstall the app.
If you have a PlantPlotter account, the quickest way to delete it is in the app:
This removes your account and everything we hold for it, immediately and permanently.
You will not need the app installed — a contact address will be published here before launch for deletion requests. Write from the address you signed up with, and we will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may need to verify that the request came from the account holder before acting on it.
Until then, deletion is available in the app, as described above.
Plant suggestions you submitted to the shared catalogue are kept, but are unlinked from you. We remove your name from them rather than deleting them, because other people may have built on an accepted suggestion and removing it would take their work with it. Once unlinked, nothing connects a suggestion back to you.
Cancel your subscription in Google Play before deleting your account — once the account is gone you'll no longer have it to manage the subscription from.
Our database keeps point-in-time backups for up to 35 days so we can recover from a failure. Deleted data can persist in those backups until they expire, after which it is gone for good. We do not read or restore individual records from backups to serve a deletion request, and nothing from a backup is used to rebuild a deleted account.
There is no undo and no recovery. We cannot restore a deleted account or its garden data, so export or photograph anything you want to keep before you delete.
If anything here is unclear, a contact address will be published here before launch. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data more generally.
